"words are nothing without a voice."
it seems odd to quote yourself but in the years since i mustered up this personally meaningful and powerful quote, i've actually had it recited back to me, albeit mostly butchered, more times than i count.
first written in 2004, my words are recreated here (circa 2010 or 2011) using magnets on the fridge at my friends' apartment.
a most uncommon commonplace notebook.
i have maintained commonplace notebooks since i first learned to write, far before i ever knew about the commonplace notebook. whatever musing, tidbit, declaration, revelation, etc. that didn’t make it into a notebook ended up on post-its napkins, shreds of paper, tissue boxes or the closest available surface. these scribbled gems have survived endless cleanings, relocations and the like, and here, they will find their new home.
